It’s that time again to show your Mom just how special she really is. In my opinion, pet-mom’s count too! Nico, if you’re reading this! 😉
My sis and I have been chatting back and forth about the spread we will have for our Mother’s Day brunch for Mrs. M! We both love baking and cooking, so that’s exactly what we will do for our mom. The weather does not look good so we had to resort to our Plan B – hosting indoors at my house. All outdoor events are off limits with a May Nor’easter heading our way #nofun
I have been really into table decor lately! Might have something to do with the countless hours researching my own wedding table decor. I think its sweet to have a place setting just for MOM on her special day 🙂
SO after the 11 AM mass, we will head over to my place for Mother’s Day Brunch. Here is our menu:
Strawberry Grapefruit Mimosas
fresh strawberries, sliced
Almond Coffee Cake
Cheese Nalesniki (Crepes or Blintzes)
I grew up eating these every Friday after school! We would put warm jam in the middle and roll them up or have them with a sweet cheese spread. Basically they are thin pancakes and absolutely perfect for a Sunday Brunch.
This recipe via Food Banjo looks amazing!
Turkey Bacon Egg Frittata
I made this fritata when I was doing the Whole30 program and it was so good and simple, I am going to make it again but with some turkey bacon this time 🙂 My sister is bringing over croissants so making a little egg sandwich with this and that will be delish!!
Knowing my mom, she will probably come bringing tons of food over to my house “just in case we don’t have enough”? It’s the typical Polish mother for ya! gotta love her!
P.S. How cute are some of these table settings? — too perfect for hosting your own Mother’s Day Brunch!
I hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend honoring your mom — wherever she may be — or if you are a mom yourself, a Big Happy Mother’s Day to you!
