Happy Friday and Happy Saint Patrick’s Day, everyone!
I am not Irish at all, but I do celebrate on this day, because well it is my birthday! When I was born at 11:53AM, all the nurses were excited that a “Patricia” was born (so my mom tells me) My parents decided to make Patricia my middle name so there ya have it. That is the most Irish thing about me 🙂
It is also my last year of my 20’s. I turn (more…)
I FINALLY found some mini bone marrow bones for Freddy! I used to get him a big bone and he had trouble getting all the marrow out from the middle before I threw it out
I found these the other night and I froze half of them and (more…)
I’m excited to have gone Apple picking with my friends and family. We have made it a tradition for 6 years now! Not only is it great to get together with everyone and to be outdoors, but the reward of baking something delicious after is the BEST!
Now that I have a pooch in the family, I need to make sure he is included! so I was stoked when I discovered this recipe fromMartha Stewart!
I found this easy recipe to make Freddy some healthy dog treats! I’ll give him a frozen treat like this when I leave the house for work in the morning or when I need to run out and do some errands for a few hours and need him to be occupied –so I can run out the door! I like knowing that I’m giving him something good for him instead of some type of artificial flavored spread thing from the pet store.
All you need: (makes 6 treats)
1/2 cup peanut butter
24 oz plain yogurt
3.5-4 oz baby food (like sweet potato, blueberry, banana, etc.) *make sure no onion powder inside!
Another thing I like to do for him.. is fill his Kong toy with some kibble and vegetable broth and freeze it for an afternoon snack. I also found Zanies Jack & ball interactive toy for him that he has to figure out how to get the treats out by moving it around – It’s great to keep his mind busy and stimulated like that.
There are some puzzles out for dogs that I was curious to try. Has anyone tried these with their dogs? I wonder if he would like the Dog Casino? or any of Nina Ottosson puzzles? They look so cool!
Here are some other toys to keep your dog busy: We’ve only tried the Kong so far!!
